Title: Alpha isn't always top dog: Coefficient omega as an alternative estimate of reliability.
Abstract: Reliability is one of the cornerstones of measurement but is often forgotten or only reported in the form of coefficient alpha estimates. However, coefficient alpha is based on assumptions unrealistic to be met in a real-world setting. After a brief introduction to Stephanie and her previous research, this talk will provide an overview of coefficient omega as an alternative estimate of reliability. In particular, there will be focus on omega-hierarchical, a variant of coefficient omega designed to measure reliability for bifactor models.
