Title: Visualizing Baseball Statistics

Abstract: This talk will begin by exploring some baseball visualizations that have been created by both experts and non-experts in the field of sabermetrics. The presentation will also include some of the more technical aspects of working with baseball data (where to find open access data, working in R and GitHub). Lastly, I will show highlights from my ABC paper, where I focused on a specific baseball question and used visualizations to reveal some important (and possibly surprising!) trends.
